Pelvic Congestion
Chronic pelvic pain is due to the presence of varicose veins in the ovaries and pelvic region. It can be linked to compression of the iliac vein (May-Thurner syndrome) or compression of the renal vein.
Pelvic pain can have many causes which is why it is important for a thorough personalised assessment. Dr Khoo will conduct a full medical history, review and examination to address your specific symptoms and concerns.
Dr Khoo’s approachable and empathetic manner allows you to feel comfortable discussing sensitive pelvic issues.
As a Vascular surgeon she has in depth knowledge about the vascular anatomy of the pelvis and the physiology of veins. Her training has equipped her with skills to provide minimally invasive ways to investigate and treat pelvic venous congestion.
If treatment is needed Dr Khoo will personally perform your procedure compared to other practitioners who need to outsource to other health care providers.
She is a proud member of the ACT Pelvic Pain Network and collaborates with the interprofessional team to improve outcomes in pelvic pain management.
Dr Khoo provides complete patient care. Complete Vascular Care.
